The Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company PJSC (du) has announced plans for a cutting-edge hyperscale data center in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), marking a significant development in the nation’s goal to become a global leader in artificial intelligence (AI) and digital infrastructure technology.

The facility, valued at AED 2 billion (USD 544.54 million), will be developed in collaboration with Microsoft. The initiative will expand du’s existing network of data centers across the country, providing solutions for cloud computing services and massive data storage.

Developed in phases, the data center will address the rising demand for increased digital capacity, AI-driven applications, and sovereign cloud solutions. Microsoft will leverage the facility’s cutting-edge computing capabilities to support cloud infrastructure and next-generation technologies.
