du, from Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (EITC), will be on the lookout for future Emirati talent as it embarks on Tawdheef 2019 in Abu Dhabi. As part of its commitment to supporting the Emiratisation strategy, du is calling on Emirati graduates and professionals throughout the UAE to explore the exciting career and development opportunities on offer within the vibrant information, communications and technology (ICT) sector.

Tawdheef, the UAE’s leading Emiratisation exhibition focusing on recruitment and career development was held from 28-30 of January at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), and acts as a platform for talented UAE Nationals from all fields of knowledge to meet and interact with industry leaders and officials from organisations around the country.

‘Nurturing future Emirati talent’

Ehab Hassan, Chief Human Resources Officer, du, said: “In line with the UAE leadership’s Emiratisation directive to increase the number of Emiratis in the private sector, du’s participation in Tawdheef 2019 is a strong step towards strengthening their career development pathways as well as advancing the future progress of the UAE telecommunications sector. At du, we are devoted towards driving the national agenda and we will continually strive to provide sustainable employment options that unearth Emirati potential and excellence.”

Ali Al Mansoori, Vice President - Business, du, said: “As a company with proud Emirati culture and virtues embedded within our foundational roots and organisational framework, we are proud to be involved in events such as Tawdheef 2019 to encourage the next wave of Emirati youth talent to join companies in the UAE’s private sector. At du, we don’t just provide jobs, we provide careers – so we welcome all aspiring UAE Nationals to come and explore the incredible opportunities we have to offer.”

‘Play like a legend’

du’s ‘Play Like a Legend’ recruitment theme for 2019 highlights the company’s drive to attract highly skilled and highly motivated Emirati candidates. EITC will welcome potential aspirants to its stand B20A in hall 3 at Tawdheef 2019 to provide them with a chance to present their skills and qualifications with the company’s existing ‘legends’. The telco also has a recruitment platform, which is designed to create a smoother application experience for potential candidates through an easy log in and registration mechanism on www.du.ae/about-us/careers

‘Developing Emirati potential’

du’s participation in Tawdheef is aligned with its sustainability notions, which are akin to the UAE national agenda through the company’s provision of technology and brand-led initiatives and partnerships. As well as maintaining an active voice in the Emiratisation of the semi-private and private sectors, du is an advocate for developing Emirati youth, in particular the business and thought leaders of tomorrow, through the du Youth Council.

As well as this, du is a progressive industry beacon for the empowerment of female employees – who account for 29 per cent of the company’s workforce – within EITC and across the UAE’s key industries, through the development of the UAE telco sector’s first-ever Women’s Council.
