Benya Capital, a leader in ICT infrastructure, technology solutions and digital transformation enablement in Egypt and the region, has launched the platform “Benya Raqmeyal” to accompany businesses in their digital transformation journey.

In the presence of H.E. Hisham Tawfik, minister of public enterprise sector, the platform was launched in partnership with Banque Misr, SAP, Microsoft, Dell, Cisco, Honeywell, and Atos. In addition, Benya Digital’s strategic partners include Vodafone, Orange, Etisalat, the Arab Organisation for Industrialisation and the American University of Cairo.

In the framework of the ceremony, Engineer Ahmed Mekky, chairman and CEO of Benya Capital, signed a partnership agreement with Engineer Mohammed El Sweedy Chairman of the Federation of Egyptian Industries. The agreement aims to strengthen digital transformation of the industrial sector and contribute to the advancement and empowerment of this vital sector which represents an important pillar for the country’s socio-economic growth.

“Benya Raqmeya” is a full-fledged “One-Stop-Shop” marketplace that provides businesses and enterprises with all their business digital requirements. The initiative represents the next generation and evolutionary development of cloud enabled solutions, which contributes to the country’s vision of enabling the development of a strong digital economy relying on equitable and affordable access to knowledge.

“At Benya Capital, we are constantly challenging the industry norms in search for wider systemic effects,” commented Benya Capital Chairman and CEO Ahmed Mekky. “In a challenging and a fast-moving environment, businesses are moving towards a multi-cloud environment to achieve targeted business goals. The Minister of Public Enterprise Sector Mr. Hisham Tawfik, affirmed on the importance of establishing an e-market to support public and private sectors. This would allow businesses and enterprises across all sectors to plan and manage resources effectively while meeting an existing gap in the market.

The Minister also pointed out that the platform – “Benya Raqmeya” - represents another milestone in the ministry’s leading efforts to support digital transformation. Through its holding companies, the ministry is implementing one of the largest digital transformation projects in the Middle East. The program includes 63 companies working in 12 different sectors and with more than 20 national and international partners, and 50 million USD of investments.

“Benya Raqmeya” offers its customers with the necessary infrastructure to connect efficiently and securely to the cloud through a set of solutions. The platform gives businesses and enterprises the freedom of choosing between the best cloud services that meet their business need while ensuring cost optimization, avoiding vendor lock-in, providing flexible data storage options, and addresses the enterprises lack of expertise and management overhead experience.
