The new store - unveiled by Gene Jiao, president of Huawei CBG, Middle East & Africa - offers consumers a full retail experience, which includes access to Huawei's latest products and services under one roof.

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has completed the smart transformation process of the frequency spectrum services as part of its strategy to enhance smart transformation in the UAE. Customers can now receive frequency spectrum services from their location without the need to visit TRA or its service centers, starting by applying for the service, until transaction is completed.

Completing five years in the Middle East and North Africa, Facebook opened the doors to its brand new regional headquarters in Dubai on Oct. 27. The 20,000-square-foot space features an open office concept, and showcases regional cultural inspirations through the various designs and artistic cues.

The Telecom Review Summit returns to Dubai in 2017 bigger and better than ever. The National Digitization Unit (NDU) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with NXN (formerly neXgen), a leading smart city consulting and digital service provider in the Middle East and Africa, marking NDU's first step towards harnessing open data to achieve the digital transformation of the Kingdom.

Today, the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) kicked off its 60th Public Meeting in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE). From 28 October to 3 November, more than 2,500 regional and global participants are gathering for discussions about the policies regarding the Internet's system of unique identifiers. One of the key topics at ICANN60 is the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) of the European Union. The meeting is also an important forum for cross-community discussions on a number of ongoing projects in ICANN. The host of the meeting is the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) of the UAE.

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry organized the Africa Global Business Forum (AGBF) on November 1 and 2, gathering high-level government officials and business leaders from across the African continent to convene at Madinat Jumeirah. Chairman of Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry, HE Majid Saif Al Ghurair, said Africa's tech-savvy entrepreneurs will bring "positive change and usher in a new era of economic and social progress."
