The upcoming AI for Good Global Summit in Geneva, Switzerland, on July 6-7, will feature AI and robotics innovators joining humanitarian leaders to advance AI for sustainable development. The summit will feature two high-level roundtables that will host discussions on safe and responsible AI and the potential development of global AI governance frameworks. Doreen Bogdan-Martin, ITU Secretary-General, emphasized the importance of shaping AI faster than it is shaping us and how the summit will bring leading voices from different interests together to ensure that AI can positively impact the UN's Sustainable Development Goals.

The two-day summit, organized by ITU and 40 partner UN agencies, will exhibit innovative solutions and feature world-class speakers, showcasing how new technologies can help achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals. The summit will have generative AI and human-machine collaboration as central themes, with the release of tools that change the way we approach creativity and productivity. The event will feature eight humanoid social robots and over 50 specialized robots, which will demonstrate their abilities in fighting fires, delivering aid, providing healthcare, and sustainable farming. Additionally, the summit will host the final round of the AI for Good Innovation Factory, where start-ups from all over the globe will present their AI solutions to progress the SDGs.

The AI for Good Global Summit, which was established in 2017, is returning to Geneva in person for the first time since 2019. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the summit transformed into a year-round online engagement platform that brought together participants from 183 countries. This year's summit will combine both physical and virtual worlds, with the potential to welcome over 3,000 participants in Geneva and more than 20,000 participants online via the AI for Good Neural Network. The event will focus on networking to create new projects, calls to action, and partnerships. Additionally, AI for Good's show floor will feature AI-inspired performances and artwork.
