His Excellency Mohammed bin Ali Al-Mannai has been appointed as the Minister of Communications and Information Technology.

Since 2015, Al-Mannai has been the president of the Communications Regulatory Authority. He has more than 20 years of industry experience, hailing a proven record of success in developing and executing communications regulatory frameworks, telecommunications technologies, network planning, administration, and rollout.

Prior to his appointment with CRA, Al-Mannai served as CEO of the Qatar National Broadband Network (QNBN) and as senior director for the network rollout at Ooredoo. He holds a bachelor of science in physics and electronics from the American University in Cairo and has numerous professional management and leadership diplomas from institutions including IMD, INSEAD, and the Carnegie Bosch Institute.
