Benya’s chairman and CEO, Eng. Ahmed Mekky has joined the Board of Directors of the Science and Technology Parks for Electronics and Research Industries.

The Board's first meeting was held on April 14th 2021, and was attended virtually by His Excellency Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Prof. Dr. Hesham El Deeb, President of the Electrics Research Institute, and president of the Science and Technology Parks for Electronics and Research Industries.

The Science and Technology Park was established as a research hub for the electronics industry with the aim of placing Egypt on the global map in the field of digital technology services, communications, and electronics production. These objectives go in tandem with Benya's vision to contribute to Egypt’s vision 2030, thus placing Egypt in the ranks of major countries in the electronics industry, its applications and ICT infrastructure.

Egypt has been boosting its science and technology sector with the aim of accelerating digital transformation. Both public and private sectors are collaborating with the view of achieving this goal and upholding the country’s regional and global positioning.
