TAWAL, the leading integrated IT infrastructure provider in the Kingdom, has signed an agreement with Kidana Development Company to lease 340 sites in the Holy Sites for the construction and operation of communications towers.
In line with Vision 2030, TAWAL and Kidana Development Company — owned by the Royal Commission for Makkah and the Holy Sites (RCMC) — will work together to drive the Kingdom’s transformation as a leading tech destination.
The agreement was signed by TAWAL CEO, Eng. Mohammed Alhakbani, and Kidana Development Company CEO, Eng. Muhammad bin Nasser Al-Mejmaj, on the sidelines of LEAP 2024.
The agreement will see TAWAL lease 340 sites in the Holy Sites to provide access to advanced telecommunications solutions. TAWAL will also support communications service providers by accelerating the adoption of future technologies, including 5G networks and the Internet of Things (IoT).
The agreement is also fully-geared towards advancing the Kingdom’s sustainability goals and accelerating the digital transformation of business and society.
