Telecom Review Group welcomed Omantel CEO Talal Said Al Mamari during the 17th edition of the Telecom Review Leaders' Summit.

As part of his key participation, he joined the ICT Leaders panel during day 1. Al Mamari emphasized the importance of cultivating the ICT ecosystem, fostering the acceleration of startups across diverse sectors, and fostering collaborations with hyperscalers. This collaborative approach is designed to address the digital needs of both enterprise and consumer markets.

In Q3 2023, Omantel Group achieved 28.7% increase in net profit. Revenue growth is mainly coming from wholesale transit voice revenue and device revenue.

Additionally, an engaging fireside chat occurred between the Omantel CEO and  Bernard Najm, VP Telco MEA, AWS during the the 17th edition of the Telecom Review Leaders' Summit. 

Al Mamari shared Omantel's vision for 2030, highlighting their expertise in fixed mobile networks, broadband internet and enterprise IP solutions, among others, and the need to stay relevant in the digital age by creating an ecosystem around cutting-edge technologies that will cater to both current and future generations.

 “It’s important to stay relevant and empathetic to customer needs, consider changes in business models, and acknowledge the transformative power of technologies like AI,” noted Al Mamari.

Notably, among the winners for the Telecom Review Review Excellence Awards this year, is Omantel and AWS for the “Best Cloud (CSP Enablement) – Global” award. Through the introduction of a new e-commerce marketplace, enterprises will be able to facilitate transactions and collaborate among businesses (B2B), serve end customers (B2C), and engage with third-party partners (X) who create industrial solutions and packages that fit the national market.
