The limelight that has shone upon 5G for the past two years is becoming a tangible reality!

Most operators are conducting continuous commercial tests of 5G, whether with single or multiple vendors, even though the ITU standardization of 5G spectrums has not been finalized yet.

The race has begun, and operators want to finish ahead of each other in deploying this great technology that promises huge capacity and very high speeds that were never expected even at the launch of LTE few years back.

Vendors are looking for a better opportunity to increase their sales, and their R&D investments are paying off.

The challenge continues: devices that can manage this speed and capacity of data will increase by 25 times, and even much more than that.

The main, most important tool is the device’s chipset, which has already been launched by Qualcomm; 5G devices need new technology to operate the receiver to the chipset and to operating systems, etc.

The new 5G devices will be launched after 2018, and we’re waiting for the standardization of spectrums to be out. That is, unless some regionally-focused devices will be launched, such as is the case with Apple using its own spectrum standard for the American market.
