stc has announced that it is making its broadband internet services available through fiber optics across all landline networks in Saudi Arabia, with the aim of enhancing the efficient use of the fiber optics infrastructure in Saudi Arabia. This comes after it had signed a landline broadband agreement with all providers of landline broadband internet infrastructure in February, under the auspices of HE Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Al-Swaha and based on an initiative by the CITC.

stc pay, digital wallet and subsidiary of stc Telecom Company, Saudi Arabia’s largest telco, and Visa, the world’s leader in digital payments, entered into an exclusive strategic partnership to launch customer-centric financial services and digital payment solutions to stc pay customers. The strategic partnership, involving a multi-year agreement, was signed via videoconference by Ahmed Alenazi, CEO of stc pay, and Ali Bailoun, Visa’s GM for Saudi Arabia.

Zain KSA has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Etihad Etisalat Company, Mobily, to form a committee to draw up a request for proposal to buy their telecoms towers, merge them into one company with other investors, or operate them on their behalf.
