GBI, a global cloud and managed services provider that owns and operates a multilayer carrier neutral network connecting the world to the Middle East, has announced the appointment of Mohamed Abdel Bassit as vice president - Operations.

Prior to this appointment in GBI, Abdel Bassit held the position of a Managing Director for Middle East and North Africa at Belgacom International Carrier Services (BICS) where he guided a multinational team with the combination of business administration acumen and an innovative skillset. He was instrumental in establishing long-term goals that brought sustainable results, growth and achievements.

Abdel Bassit has 19 years of experience in the ICT industry spanning sales, business operation and product development, outsourcing and establishing partnerships. He holds a master's degree in marketing and brings a mix of hands-on experience and business knowledge.
